Roman Kotov, Ph.D.

Roman Kotov, Ph.D., is the co-Principal Investigator of the project. He received his doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa in 2006. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University. His area of expertise is personality research and statistical analyses.

Daniel N. Klein, Ph.D.

Daniel Klein, Ph.D., is the co-Principal Investigator of the project. He received his doctoral degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983. Currently, he is a Professor and Department Chair of Psychology at Stony Brook University. His area of expertise is development of personality and emotional well-being.

Greg Perlman, Ph.D

Greg Perlman, Ph.D., is the director of the ADEPT Project. He received his Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2013. His area of expertise is personality research and statistical analysis.

Giorgia Michelini, Ph.D

Giorgia Michelini, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral researcher working on the ADEPT Project. She received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychopathology & Neuroscience from King’s College London in 2017. Her area of expertise is emotional well-being and neuroscience.

Michala Godstrey, B.A.

Michala Godstrey, B.A., is an Interviewer for the project. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2014.

Kate Valerio, M.S.

Kate Valerio, M.S., is the EEG Technician for the project.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stony Brook University in 2016 and her Masters in Neuroscience at Stony Brook University in 2017 studying spinal cord injury.

Madison Thornton, B.S.

Madison Thornton, B.S., is the Research Coordinator for the project. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with concentrations in Chemistry and Physics from Stony Brook University in 2018.

Emilia Souza, M.A.

Emilia Souza, M.A., is an Interviewer for the project. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2015 from Binghamton University and received her Master’s in Psychology from Stony Brook University in 2017.

Mitchell Mazzone, B.A.

Mitchell Mazzone, B.A. is an Interviewer for the project. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology from Stony Brook University in 2018.
